Hi,

I think it would be interesting to consider allowing plugins access to the main view,
maybe in a limited capacity for just rendering web pages (WebKit instance, like how Textual.app does it.)

Potential uses:

• preview a particular file – e.g. image or video – from the sidebar and shown in main view
• web pages in grid view or multi-column view
• Web Inspector views in grid view mode
