When ST2 is not running and I open a .sublime-project-file, it opens as a JSON-file in ST2, instead of opening the actual project.
Is this a bug, or is there a way to open the project (and optionally close other projects)? Thanks.
Opening *.sublime-project opens as JSON

This is still happening in build 2220 on OSX 10.8.2. Any word on a fix? It would be great to open projects by double-clicking in the Finder.

That’s strange. I’m on 10.8.2 with ST 2.0.1 build 2217 and clicking on .sublime-project files opens the project for me.

Arvid, could you completely quit (splat-Q) ST2 and try double-clicking on the sublime-project file? I’ve found that if ST2 is running in the background then it works as expected, but if it’s not running then it opens as JSON.
