High contrast light theme. Which one?

#1

Hi all.

I’m trying to find a good light (i.e. light background) Sublime Text 2 theme to use.

Requirements are:

  • light but not flashlight background
  • high contrast text. E.g. gray text on white is out.
  • complete and high contrast syntax highlighting
  • high contrast editor tabs – i.e. an easy way to see which tab is ‘current’.

Thanks,
F

You are actually asking for two things (in Sublime jargon):

FWIW, this is the color scheme I use:

It’s designed for writing rather than coding, but I have been using it for both tasks for over a year now (with minor tweaks) and I can attest that your eyes will not fall out of their sockets. (Although I do use f.lux/redshift.) The syntax closely mirrors the Monokai (the default ST2 theme). If you’re interested, I will be packaging it with some non-intrusive Markdown stuff over the weekend.

The theme in the screenshot is Soda Light. Probably not contrasting enough.

Hope this helps,
Alex

This is the color scheme I’m using, also using the Soda Light 3 theme.

I’m a big fan of Solarized, though I am not sure if it qualifies as high-contrast. It has a very comfortable set of colors in both it’s dark and light versions.
