Word Wrap: units?

Word Wrap: units?

Postby Montgomery on Thu Jul 29, 2010 8:50 pm

What are the units for the wrapWidth attribute?

The options text describes "wrapping at that column rather than the window width".
I wanted word wrap at about 80 characters. However, that seems to result in about twice as many characters.

Setting wrapWidth 50 looks about right, but it's at about 90 characters, and Sublime says it's at "Column 180."

So what are the units, or is it just trial & error?

It's based on the width of the lower case 'm'. Presumably you're not using a fixed width font?
