Ignore this [was: Severe corruption bug, large binary file]

I found a very serious bug in ST3, most recent update.

I opened a large binary file (125mb) - ST correctly opens it in hex mode. I accidentally inserted a space in the beginning, but I removed it. Without thinking too much about it, I saved the file (which took almost a minute on a fast machine with ssd, but that's not the real issue.)

So I saved the file, with no actual changes.

BUT NOW IT IS CORRUPT!

Orignal file:
128 712 704 byte

Saved file:
128 708 608 byte

I was able to reproduce this.

Thank goodness I had a backup...

I am on Windows 8.1

Turns out the machine I was running on has a corrupt file system (!!!)

Pardon the nasty looking subject, I first noticed the corruption using ST3 and jumped to conclusions a bit early...
