Build 3059 - Caret width to make block cursor?

#1

Is there a way to make a fully functional block cursor with this option?

For instance when the cursor hovering over a char you canā€™t see that char when cursor is in the not blinking state, is it possible to fix?

What im looking for is an option to edit the color of the character behind the cursor or alternatively edit the foreground/background of the selected character so i can be able to read it.

Anyone got any ideas?

Edit: Since it is implemented in ā€œVintage modeā€ command mode it should be get the same effect in non vintage, right?

This is a problem of someone having a to big cursor. To clarify: I want a block cursor but i want it to function as a normal blockcursor. With that i mean i want to be able to see the char behind the blockcursor and i want it to be dynamicly big depending on which char that is selected.

ā€œinverse_caret_stateā€: true <ā€” seems to be one solution, however there is a line under the block cusor which is kind of annoying.
