Hello,
My Sublime Text 3 does not show the menu bar in global menu of Ubuntu Trusty 14.04.
I’d tried enable it in new “whitelist” on dconf, tried “GTK_MODULES=globalmenu-gtk” options, but nothing works.
Can you help me?
Thank you.

Hi! Did you installed Ubuntu from scratch or upgrade the previous version? If you updated, did menus worked previously? Which desktop enviroment do you use? If it’s Ubuntu I guess it’s Unity, right?
Hi my8bit,
I updated from ST2. Just unpacked the app in a folder and changed a “.desktop” launcher.
Yes, I’m using Unity and all works before.
[EDIT]
Just now, I tried move the “.config/sublime-text-3” folder, and start ST3 with whole new config. And I got same behavior.
This is because the unity modules aren’t installed, it took me a long time to track this down. See https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/1313353 for the same issue in other apps.
The solution is to install both gtk modules.
sudo apt-get install unity-gtk2-module
sudo apt-get install unity-gtk3-module
Then log out and back in and the global menus should start working again in all your apps.
