Open hidden files / Command line open in OSX

Open hidden files / Command line open in OSX

Postby jgardner on Thu Mar 10, 2011 6:06 pm

I'd like to be able to open hidden files in Sublime (e.g. dotfiles, ~/.bashrc).

Is there a feature to open files by keyed path, rather than the Open dialog? The Goto Anything appears to only work against previously opened files.

For the moment, I've worked around this by using the "open" OSX command and passing filenames on the command line.

You can use the standard, albeit esoteric, OS X shortcut of Ctrl+Shift+. in the open dialog to toggle hidden files

I found that the plugin AdvancedNewFile has an very interesting benefit —

When using the advanced new file command ANF: New File ( cmd - opt - n ), if the file name (and path) already exists, ANF just opens the file. It's beautiful. I use it frequently for editing my various dot files.
