I’m new to this application and I like it a lot. However, can I connect to my FTP server and edit live hosted files and straight away save it to my server using this editor? Something similar to Dreamweaver FTP connection? Is it possible?

Yes, via a plugin. You should install Package Control for Sublime if you haven’t done so already, then install SFTP. More info:

There is a free version with nag screen or pay version ($20) without. It works either by mirroring a remote folder locally or allowing you to browse and directly edit files on your FTP server. It also supports secure connections etc…
