It would be a very useful feature to be able to split panes more fluidly, similar to how in tmux you can split with CTRL-B,% and CTRL-B," , as well as relative pane switching (switching to the pane above, below, to the right, to the left of the current pane instead of switching to the first, second, third, fourth pane).
