EditorConfig

EditorConfig

Postby sindresorhus on Tue Apr 23, 2013 9:57 pm

I created a Sublime plugin for EditorConfig some time ago. It's now also available on ST3. Enjoy.

EditorConfig helps developers define and maintain consistent coding styles between different editors and IDEs. The EditorConfig project consists of a file format for defining coding styles and a collection of text editor plugins that enable editors to read the file format and adhere to defined styles. EditorConfig files are easily readibly and they work nicely with version control systems.

I am still on ST2, but using your plugin on a regular basis.

Thanks for your contribution in making ST even better!

Hello,

I was trying to understand how this plugin works. I've installed it using the Package Control, but I don't see any differences in how my files are handled. Is there a command that I run to modify my current files to match the settings in the .editorconfig? It seems that the sublime user preference settings are the only ones that are making any impact/change on my files. I am working with other team members that are not using Sublime and I assumed that using this plugin I'd be able to use their .editorconfig to seamlessly work with their settings. I'm not sure if I'm incorrectly using this plugin?

Thanks.
